Pamela Hoppock serves as the Learning Experiences Coordinator for the State Library. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in both English and Theatre from St. Andrews College and a Master's of Library and Information Science from USC-Columbia. She has worked in various types of libraries--school, public, special--and brings a wide variety of experience and knowledge to library services and programs. Her emphasis on training, trends, and technology is part of the State Library’s strategy to improve libraries across SC and to provide access to information and tools for all of South Carolina.
Katie Simmons is the User Experience (UX) Designer for the State Library. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English (Writing and Publication Studies) from Clemson University, where she gained experience in digital publishing, advertising, and graphic design. Katie then earned her Master of Arts in Media Arts at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Her focus is on both aesthetic design and usability, ensuring patrons enjoy using the website and are able to find what they need. Katie also designs marketing and promotional materials for the agency, oversees the Editorial Committee, and works with other state agencies at Access South Carolina Information Technology (ASCIT).
