Dr. Curtis Rogers interviews Chaplain MAJ Kari Maschhoff. Major Maschhoff has served as the Director of Resource and Information Management for the US Army Chaplain Center and School at Fort Jackson here in Columbia, South Carolina since 2016. She entered the Army in 2004 and her first assignment as a Battalion Chaplain was at Ft. Hood, Texas. She has served in Iraq, Kuwait, Ft. Huachuca in Arizona, and at Ft. Gordon in Georgia. She has a BA in Economics and five Masters Degrees and has received multiple medals for her service. Major Maschhoff is a recent recipient of a Quilt of Valor.

Dr. Curtis Rogers discusses the book Wild South Carolina and more with authors Liesel & Susan Hamilton. Liesel Hamilton holds an M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction Writing from George Mason University and has received fellowships from George Mason University and the Alan Cheuse International Writers Center. In addition to Wild South Carolina, you can find her writing in Fall Lines, where she received the the Broad River Prize for Prose, and Catapult, The Normal School, and Audubon, and other publications. A certified statewide Master Naturalist, Susan Hamilton has completed Master Naturalist trainings in the Upstate, Midlands, and the coastal zones of South Carolina. She is a former journalist who works with several environmental non-profits, both on their boards and in volunteer capacities. In her free time, she enjoys birding as well as trying to identify state wildflowers.

Dr. Curtis Rogers discusses No Ordinary Soldier: My father's two wars, with author Liz Gilmore Williams. A finalist in the 2018 International Book Awards in the military history genre, Liz Gilmore Williams worked as a writer and editor for more than 20 years in Washington, D.C., for two offices of the U.S. Congress and other organizations. As a speaker for South Carolina's Humanities Out Loud Program, she travels statewide to speak at meetings for sponsoring organizations that promote discussion about human values, traditions, and cultures.

Dr. Curtis Rogers interviews Colonel Steven Vitali about his military career. Colonel Vitali has served for 35 years in the military with 32 years as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was commissioned a Lieutenant in 1976 and has served at home and abroad including operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. He retired in July 2008 and is a recent recipient of a Quilt of Valor.
